AppleCare Protection Plan

The Protection Plan extends telephone support and service coverage for a MAXIMUM total of three years from the date of computer purchase and may be purchased as long as the unit is still within the original one year warranty period.

All products listed above are eligible for the Protection Plan as long as coverage is purchase within the one-year warranty period
The maximum total coverage period is three years from the initial purchase date of the computer .
Any single Apple display is covered at no additional charge with the Mac coverage, as long as it is purchased at the same time and used with the covered CPU
Only customers whose products are currently covered by Apple's original one-year limited warranty are eligible to purchase AppleCare Extended Service agreements

The AppleCare Protection Plan includes the following features:

Direct telephone access to Apple Technical Support
Telephone support for three years from the date of product purchase (extended from the 90 days included with the Apple product).
Apple-certified repairs
Parts and labor for three years from the date of product purchase (two years beyond the limited warranty). Standard Apple service methods are based on the product and customer location, and may include carry-in, on-site, or express courier. Service is performed by Apple Directly by Apple Authorized Service Providers.
Powerful diagnostic tools
Micromat's TechTool Deluxe, a diagnostic CD that tests the major components of the Apple hardware and software.
24-hour-a-day Internet support
A web site for AppleCare Protection Plan customers that provides simplified, direct access to Apple's public-level support information.
